Yogurt-
Matters

Lactobacillus, streptococcus, diplococcus and yeasts are some of the microorganisms that traveled with us from Athens in a yogurt jar. In Στανη they have been taking care of the same yogurt culture since 1931.

Primary school pupils from the village of Barracas made the first yogurt and passed it by to their classmates in Bejís, who afterwards gave it to Torás with the yoghurt finally arriving in El Toro. Now all the students share the same bacteria the same way they share their teachers. CRA Peña Escabia is a school spread in four different villages making it possible for them to maintain their schools in their hometowns.
